Nyora Beads is a registered 501c3 nonprofit organization based in Massachusetts serving the community of Kibera, the largest slum in Africa. Many families in Kibera cannot afford to send their children to school, especially as they get older. While elementary schools tend to be somewhat affordable, high school fees are prohibitively expensive for most families. As a result, a large percentage of children are forced to drop out of school around the age of 13 or 14 years old. Education is crucial in order to fight the cycle of poverty.
Nyora Beads gives full 4-year scholarships to bright, determined, and compassionate children who live in Kibera and cannot afford to attend high school. We hope that Nyora Beads' scholars will be the future leaders who make positive changes in the Kibera community. Every dollar of your tax deductible donation or purchase goes directly to these scholarship funds.
